CHEAP FRONTIER LEGAL
Privacy Policy
This Policy explains how Cheap Frontier collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you use the Service.
Effective and last updated August 19, 2026
Questions about these terms? Contact support@cheapfrontier.com.
1. Scope and operator
This Policy applies to Cheap Frontier's website, dashboard, API, subscriptions, and support interactions. The Cheap Frontier operating entity identified at checkout or on your invoice is responsible for the personal information described here. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@cheapfrontier.com. This Policy does not govern third-party websites or services you choose to use with Cheap Frontier.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: email address, authentication records, account dates, and basic profile information.
- Subscription information: plan, subscription status, billing identifiers, transaction status, and Dodo Payments records. We do not store complete card numbers.
- API-key information: key name, prefix, cryptographic digest, creation date, revocation date, and last-used date. Full API-key secrets are displayed once and are not stored by Cheap Frontier.
- Usage and diagnostic information: model, endpoint, timestamp, token counts, cache usage, equivalent usage, request status, latency, attempt count, request identifiers, IP-derived security signals, and device or browser information.
- Customer Content: prompts, messages, files, and model output must be processed and transmitted to fulfill API requests. Cheap Frontier does not log complete prompts or completions by default in production, but temporary processing and limited security handling may occur.
- Communications: information you provide in support, legal, abuse, or other communications.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, authenticate, meter, bill, maintain, and improve the Service;
- route requests, return responses, enforce daily allowances, and record usage;
- secure accounts, detect abuse, prevent fraud, investigate incidents, and enforce terms;
- provide support and communicate about service, billing, security, and policy changes;
- analyze performance, capacity, reliability, and product usage;
- comply with law, legal process, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
4. Customer Content and Service Data
You retain ownership of Customer Content as described in the Terms. We process it under your instructions and the license in the Terms to provide and protect the Service. Do not submit highly sensitive personal, health, financial-account, government-identifier, or confidential third-party information unless you have determined that doing so is lawful and appropriate.
Cheap Frontier owns service-generated telemetry, statistics, performance data, security signals, and aggregated or de-identified information. We may use this Service Data for lawful business purposes, including analytics, security, capacity planning, product development, and service improvement, provided aggregated or de-identified data is not represented as identifying you.
5. How we disclose information
We may disclose information:
- to infrastructure, authentication, database, monitoring, support, and model-processing vendors that help operate the Service;
- to Dodo Payments (dodopayments.com), which processes subscription payments and provides payment-related services;
- to professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and financing sources under appropriate duties;
- when required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, users, or the public;
- in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, asset sale, or transfer of all or part of the business; and
- with your direction or consent.
We do not sell personal information for money or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Customer Content necessarily passes through service providers used to process and fulfill API requests.
6. Retention
We retain account, subscription, usage, security, and transaction records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, meet legal or financial obligations, and protect the Service. Retention periods vary by record type and risk. Revoked key digests and security records may be retained to prevent abuse. Deleted data may remain temporarily in backups or where preservation is legally required.
Cheap Frontier does not intentionally retain complete prompts and completions in production logs by default. Temporary buffers and the model-processing services used to fulfill a request may process or retain content under their applicable operational and contractual controls.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including hashed API-key lookup, access controls, transport security, and restricted service credentials. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, altered, lost, or disclosed without authorization.
8. International processing
Cheap Frontier and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use legally recognized transfer mechanisms or other appropriate safeguards.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information, and to appeal a denied request. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. We may verify your identity, and legal exceptions may apply. To submit a request, email support@cheapfrontier.com.
You can revoke API keys from the dashboard, cancel future subscription renewal through the available billing controls, and control browser cookies through your browser. Essential authentication cookies are required for the dashboard.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as the Service or law changes. We will post the updated version and change the effective date, and provide additional notice where required. Privacy questions or requests may be submitted to support@cheapfrontier.com.
